Hello and welcome!
Thank you so much for your interest in a TRCF internship! We are so glad you are joining our team! Here you will find resources to give you a better understanding of our mission and how YOU can help teen cancer survivors nationwide.
Internship Opportunities:
We have a robust list of intern opportunities as this is an exciting time at TRCF and we are scaling to support more teen cancer survivors nationwide. We have work in marketing, programming, administration, advocacy, and special events. TRCF interns have an opportunity to see the inner workings of TRCF, which is beneficial if joining a nonprofit or really any organization. TRCF interns meet weekly with staff members and have access to staff throughout the week to ask questions and gain knowledge. The bulk of TRCF’s intern opportunities are virtual with the exception of a few local events in the DFW area.
Fill out the “Intern Interest Form” located at the bottom of this page. Every intern will have a preliminary onboarding call with our Director of Operations. During this call we will discuss areas of interest and explain more about TRCF’s mission and vision. Schedules and work assignments will be determined and the weekly “check-in” call scheduled.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the work we do at TRCF! We are excited about this partnership and we want to help in any way we can! Please feel free to email, call, or text.

TRCF Mission:
The Ruth Cheatham Foundation (TRCF) bridges the educational opportunity gap for teen cancer survivors by providing college scholarships and educational support, which is vital for their economic mobility due to the long-term financial, cognitive, and emotional tolls of cancer.
TRCF VISION:
Our vision is a world where survivors are not defined by their diagnosis but have equal opportunity for a quality education. The Ruth Cheatham Foundation (TRCF) is proud to be the only organization who provides financial support, as well as educational and mental health supports, to teen cancer survivors, meeting them where they are to ensure their success.
